Interim Senior Project Manager required for the People’s Change Delivery  Team, Strategy & Change, Corporate Development.

The council are looking for an outstanding Senior Project Manager to help deliver the Council’s ambitious National Borough of Storytelling Project.  The National Borough of Storytelling project is an exciting and unique project:

With strategic national partners, cross-council services, and the wider community, we will embed storytelling as an approach to:

ENGAGE residents through storytelling that is accessible and represents and celebrates our diverse community

EDUCATE residents and professionals on the benefits of storytelling on learning, personal, emotional and social development and supporting them to become impactful storytellers

EMPOWER residents to tell their own stories by providing them with the tools, training and platform to do so alongside a universal offer we will provide a targeted offer to our most vulnerable groups

The role will involve working with different services and strategic partners to deliver the benefits of the programme to our residents, communities and staff. The postholder will work with a wide range of stakeholders, testing and developing new initiatives to build support for the changes, helping to embed lasting change across the organisation

About you

To succeed in this role, you will have a passion for change, and be able to engage others to embrace new ways of working. You will be able to develop excellent relationships with staff at all levels of the organisation, in an inclusive manner, with a strong commitment to excellent customer service.

You will have experience of running and managing complex projects and change initiatives. You will be a successful and respected leader, able to lead and inspire teams in both traditional and matrix working arrangements.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues from across the Council to develop and mobilise a detailed delivery plans, understand interdependencies with other key corporate initiatives, and to help ensure the changes are aligned and working to deliver the ambitions and aspirations of the Council’s Reset agenda.

Evidence of successful working with, supporting and influencing senior stakeholders is essential.
